Facilities

The E.O Wilson Center

The E.O Wilson Center is a state of the art education facility located on 10 acres of conservation land. It was built with ample space for both indoor and outdoor learning. Our main campus features a grand entrance exhibit hall; an interactive space with live animal displays, learning games and life-like dioramas of the Longleaf Pine Ecosystem. Our classroom spaces include a lab for messy projects and studies, a reptile room and several multi-purpose rooms. Campers can assemble for movie night or a bird show in our 160 seat theater, complete with big screen. The Biophilia Center also has a discovery pond for exploration and study. Small aquatic creatures abound in this shallow, natural environment. Campers can experience a variety of habitats from wetlands and hardwood hammocks to upland sandhills while on our trail system.

Dining Hall

Camp Longleaf’s new campus has a 3,500 square ft dining hall with wrap-around porch. Retractable, glass garage doors make it the perfect summertime spot to eat lunch with a view.  This indoor and air-conditioned space is perfect for meals, camp family gatherings and rainy day activities.

Cabins

Camp Longleaf has six cabins, holding 10 campers each with built-in bunk beds and 2 counselors per cabin. In-cabin bathrooms make showering and getting ready a breeze!  Our cabins are designed with the Florida heat in mind. Each bunk space has dual air conditioning units to keep cool at night and during afternoon rest times. In true southern fashion, our cabins also have a front gathering porch where campers can relax with their new friends.

Fire Circle

All of our cabins are connected by deck walkways to our central gathering location, the fire circle! We know it’s hot in Florida but every summer camp needs a campfire. Skits, songs and s’mores will be some of your camper’s favorite memories. Special traditions and ceremonies will take place here as camper’s progress throughout the week.
